In 2003, owners Mark J. West and Randall W. Taylor created West Fire Appraisal & Professional Services. West Fire APS handles all aspects of the appraisal and professional services needs of its customers.

West Fire APS provides construction expertise to both insurance companies and the individual. We are called upon to provide paid estimates when construction issues are complicated and above the experience level of those already involved. West Fire APS represents countless parties with insurance appraisals and is considered by many to be a pioneer in handling the insurance appraisal process. We are experienced witnesses and are called upon to provide expert testimony regarding construction issues for both insurance companies and individuals.

Mark J. West and Randall W. Taylor have over 70 years of collective experience in both residential and commercial construction, property and casualty insurance claims adjusting, insurance appraisals and expert witness testimony.

Mark J. West - Owner

Mark is an experienced general contractor with over 40 years of service in the construction business. In 1985, Mark began West Fire Construction and Restoration.

Mark is well-known in the construction field and is retained by many law firms as an expert witness. He represents countless insurance companies and individuals in insurance appraisals. He is considered by many to be a pioneer in the insurance appraisal process. Due to the growing need for Mark's services in this area, Mark co-founded West Fire Appraisal & Professional Services, Inc. (West Fire APS) in 2003: a full-service company specializing in insurance appraisals and expert witness work.

Randall W. Taylor - Owner

Randall is an experienced general contractor and insurance claims adjuster with over 30 years of experience in both fields. Randall has owned and operated restoration / remediation companies in the Houston area and currently co-owns West Fire Construction & Restoration, Inc. Additionally, he worked for a national insurance company as a Property and Casualty Claims Adjuster and Claims Manager.

Due to Randall's expertise in both the construction and insurance industries, he is retained by many law firms as an expert witness. He represents countless insurance companies and individuals in insurance appraisals. As a result of the demand for his unique skills, Randall co-founded West Fire Appraisal & Professional Services, Inc. (West Fire APS) in 2003: a full-service company specializing in insurance appraisals and expert witness work.
